contributions presented at the Third Biennial Meeting of the Latin-American Association of Paleomagnetism
and Geomagnetism (LATINMAG): http://latinmag.org/ The meeting was held at the Facultad de Ciencias, Universidad de la República,
As the previous Meetings, 2009 at The meeting included 91 participations: 88
regular presentations and 3 invited lectures given by colleagues like Daniel
Rey from Universidad de Vigo, Roberto Molina Garza
from UNAM and Joaquim Linthe,
of JFZ. In this issue are published the expanded abstracts of 84 of the
regular presentations and the 3 abstracts of the invited lectures. Short
abstract of all participations are in the Program
of the Meeting. The contributions have been organized in
four main Sessions. Session A: Geomagnetism – Geophysic Methods; Session B: Paleomagnetism
– Tectonics; Session C: Archeomagnetism, Paleointensity, Paleosecular
Variations; Session D: Rock Magnetism – Environmental Magnetism The contributions cover a quite wide scope
of problems from the 4 kind of central topics of each session. The session
with the highest number of contributions is Paleomagnetism
and Tectonics. The contributions come mainly from Latin-American colleagues
